At Molly’s, we celebrate the deep-rooted memories of a passionate culinary journey inspired by Molly’s family heritage. With a heart full of love and nostalgia, Molly embraced the opportunity to make it her own, blending the vibrant flavors of the past with fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
Growing up in South Minneapolis, Molly found her greatest inspiration in her mother and grandmother, Bess. Bess’s farm was a place of warmth, filled with the delightful aromas of home-cooked meals. Cherished summers spent on the farm contrasted with the bustling energy of city life, fueling Molly’s desire to attend culinary school.
Though her grandmother is no longer with her, her spirit lives on in every aspect of the restaurant. Drawing from family traditions, Molly is committed to showcasing seasonal dishes that reflect these cherished recipes. From heartfelt specials to creations inspired by comforting Midwestern fare, each dish tells a story.
In addition to honoring her family’s history, Molly is passionate about giving back to the community that has supported her throughout this journey. At Molly’s, we strive to be more than just a restaurant; we actively engage with local farmers and artisans, sourcing ingredients from those nearby to foster relationships and uplift our community.
We also dedicate time and resources to community initiatives, hosting events that support local causes and bringing people together around the dinner table.

Farm to Table Isn’t a Trend Here — It’s My Story
My love for food started on my grandma’s corn farm in Iowa.
I was a kid standing beside her at the stove, learning that cooking begins long before the pan gets hot — it begins in the dirt, in the fields, in the hands of the people who grow and raise what we eat. Those memories shaped everything I believe about food and community.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in restaurants that taught me the true value of supporting local. But it was during Covid, when our industry was forced to close its doors, that this mission became unshakably personal.
We put our hearts into finding creative ways to help the farmers who’ve always fed us — connecting their animals and products to essential workers, feeding teams at the Mayo Clinic, and gathering chefs out on the farms to keep creativity alive when the world felt heavy. We were fighting for our farmers because they were fighting to survive.
Supporting local isn’t something I say because it sounds good.
It’s in my blood. It’s how I was raised. It’s who I am.
And at Molly’s, it’s who we are.
We’ll be visiting the farms and producers who make our menu possible — the maple syrup makers, brewers, cheesemakers, ranchers, egg farmers, hot sauce creators, chocolatiers, and so many others. We want you to see the why behind what we do: the intention, passion, and purpose behind every ingredient that lands on your table.

No Seed Oil
At Molly’s, we believe great food starts with great ingredients.
One thing that may surprise you…
there are absolutely no seed oils in our kitchen or bar. None.
No canola oil.
No soybean oil.
No sunflower oil.
No hidden seed oils in dressings, sauces, or even our bar program.
Everything we cook is done the way kitchens used to do it.
We use real fats and real ingredients like:
• Extra virgin olive oil
• Grass-fed butter
• Natural animal fats when appropriate
Why? Because food should be simple, honest, and nourishing.
Many restaurants rely on processed oils because they are cheap and easy.
We choose not to.
It takes more intention.
It takes more care.
But we believe it makes a difference in flavor, quality, and how food makes you feel.
